- Welcome to Wooldridge Elementary. My name is Juan Yniguez. I have been an educator for 15 years. I received my bachelor's degree from Angelo State University focusing on History and Spanish Literature. I grew up in a small town in West Texas. I am fluent in English, Spanish and French. I love to read, play music, travel, and run. My door is always open so please do not hesitate to come to me for any assistance you may need.
My name is Adis Avila. I was born in Manzanillo, Cuba. I am a grateful for my life as a mother, two children and a wonderful husband. My children have grown our family with two awesome daughters-in-law and eight incredible grandchildren. I studied at the University of Havana, Ciudad Libertad in the Education branch. I worked in primary education in grades Kindergarten through 6, for 14 years before coming to the USA. In 1994, my family and I immigrated to the United States, and I then began my work and studying at night, like any other immigrant, to advance myself. I finished my basic studies to learn the English language and from there I began to revalidate my title as a teacher in a Teacher Certification program with the University of Houston. While I was finishing my studies, I worked as a substitute teacher and later got my K-6th grade bilingual teacher certificate. I started working at Wooldridge Elementary in the 2008-2009 school year and I have been here since. I am very grateful to God for letting me teach what I have a passion for.
Please let me know if you need anything else from me. Thank you for everything you do!
